Privacy policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

This policy covers goettingco.com and the apps made by Goetting and Co., LLC ("Goetting & Co.", "we", "us"), including Aureus on this website and in the Microsoft Store.

What you enter in our apps

Everything you type into our apps, such as account names, balances, goals and settings, is saved only in your browser's storage on your own device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

• Backups you make are files saved where you choose on your device. We never receive them.
• Access codes: if you unlock an app with an access code, the app remembers that on your device so you don't need to enter it again.
• Removing your data: each app's Settings has a "Clear all data" button. Clearing your browser's site data for goettingco.com also removes it.

Because your data lives only on your device, keep your own backups. We cannot recover lost data.

Our website

The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: no outside fonts, scripts, trackers or ads. Like every website, it is delivered by a hosting provider (Netlify), which processes basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use that information to identify you.

Email

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your email.

Microsoft Store purchases

If you buy an app in the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the purchase and your payment details under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not receive your payment information.

Children

Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
